My works is about introducing contemporary dance to the youngest audience, from ages 3 months to 10 years old. In my works for babies I am emphasizing the importance of multi-sensory experience, creating installation-based environments which encourage interactivity and that stimulate perception. My current exploration concerns the correlation of the interactive concepts and the concept of choreography as an expanded practice and the ways in which this correlation can inform and affect the choreographic practice for children. I perceive choreography as the organization of attention and, as such, applicable to protocols, structures and various modes of audience participation. My exploration of the synergy of choreography and installation art and their capacities for activation of the audience and interaction goes along with an exploration of the abstract concepts and its potential to access and intrigue children’s imagination.
