NOBA meeting in Reykjavík 30th of August 2014

SL- Association Of Independent Performing Arts Iceland is pleased to host the next NOBA network meeting! The meeting takes place on Saturday the 30th of August from 10:00-15:00 at Tjarnarbíó, Tjarnargötu 12 in Reykjavík. The afternoon will include a network meeting, a “sharing stories” session and workshop, a “meet-the-expert” session and lunch.

We start the day with a short introduction to the NOBA network. This will be followed by a “sharing stories” session where selected members of the network share their respective experiences in how to tour dance for young audiences. This segment will also feature an open discussion with the audience.

After lunch, which will also be served at Nordic House, we will host a workshop about self-organizing and how to practically work with production and discuss things such as how to present yourself at festivals, in print and online, or how to approach potential buyers or collaboration partners etc.

In addition to the actual meeting, NOBA will also host un-official dinner at Thursday 28th at 20.00 for those of you arriving early! We kindly ask you to sign up for the meeting and the un-official dinner at leikhopar@leikhopar.is before Thursday 21st of August.

The NOBA network meeting is part of RDF – Reykjavík Dance Festival and at the same time LOKAL – international theater festival, is going on in Reykjavik. Have a look at the programs for these at www.reykjavikdancefestival.com and www.lokal.is.

We are looking forward to seeing you in Reykjavik!
